I am an organic geochemist and science writer based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, where I conduct research on the evolution of complex life. Each day, I’m either in the lab, telling stories about ancient life and its environment with mass spectrometry, at my computer researching the evolution of Earth-changing microbes, or working with the MIT Nord Anglia Collaboration to share the exciting research conducted at MIT with K-12 students around the world.
